Lily James Ditches the Princess Look In Favour of a Sexy Scarlet Number As She Joins Co-star Richard Madden at 'Cinderella' Photocall in Milan
Daily Mail, 18 February 2015 Looks like Lily James is getting a little bored of the Disney princess look in favour of something a bit more Grimm. The actress attended a photocall for her latest movie 'Cinderella' in Milan, Italy, wearing a sultry high neck red dress with black strappy Christian Louboutin heels. She arrived on the arm of Richard Madden, who looked rather dashing with his hair slicked back to suit his dark suit. He wore a rich blue shirt and no tie for the press conference, no to mention a steely look that matched his co-stars smouldering stare. The former 'Game Of Thrones' star recently said that this version of the classic tale offers a far more image of gender equality. 'The original animated version was much more about this boy who comes to save the day and this version is so not like that,' Madden told The Guardian. 'It’s the strong girl by herself and a young man coming together that makes the story, rather than a far more sexist view.' They certainly looked edgier than their Disney alter-egos, Cinderella and Prince Charming, on Wednesday in Italy and soon they'll be playing star-crossed lovers. Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail first reported the news that Lily and Richard will play Romeo and Juliet under Kenneth Branagh's direction in the West End. Branagh must have been impressed by their chemistry in 'Cinderella' for him to cast them for his production which will be launched at the Garrick Theatre, near Trafalgar Square, in spring 2016. William Shakespeare's tragedy is one the director knows well having played the role of Romeo opposite Samantha Bond's Juliet 29 years ago. Cinderella is out in the US on 13 March and in the UK on 27 March, 2015
