Kenneth Branagh Thinking Ahead on How 'Thor' Fits to 'Iron Man 2'

With many 'Thor' rumors left in the hanging, helmer Kenneth Branagh is said 'thinking ahead as to how does 'Thor' interrelate with the 'Iron Man' movies'.

While speculations surrounding "Thor" casting are still running wild, director Kenneth Branagh reportedly gears up to prove fans he is ready to deliver the superhero film which is interrelated to other Marvel's films, including "Iron Man 2" and "The Avengers". Revealing the matter to MTV was Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada.

"He was really, really loving the interconnectivity between all of these characters and even thinking ahead as to how does 'Thor' interrelate with the 'Iron Man' movies," Quesada talked about Branagh. "How will he interrelate with the Avengers movies, and how do we set these things up."

He furthermore praised Branagh for understanding what Marvel are attempting to do with their "Avengers" franchise. "[Branagh] understood that there was this very, very big tapestry of the Marvel movies," he said. "There's continuity within the movies and he really wanted to play within that and wanted it to be part of the other movies."

In the previous report related to "Thor", it has been suggested that Natalie Portman has been linked to be the front runner for the female lead. Nonetheless, it was still unclear which female character she will portray. Josh Hartnett, Charlie Hunnam, Tom Hiddleston, Liam Hemsworth and Joel Kinnaman, in addition, have also been rumored up for the titular role, aside from rumored Alexander Skarsgard.

"Thor" has been set to explode in U.S. big screen on May 20, 2011.
