The 10th Windsor Fringe Kenneth Branagh Award for new drama writing will be presented at the Firestation Arts Centre in October.

Performances of the three plays to reach the final will prove a highlight of this year's Windsor Fringe Festival over three nights at the arts centre in St Leonard's Road on October 3, 4 and 5 - with the winner announced on the third day.

More than 300 scripts were submitted from 21 countries.

The 47 brave volunteers who read them all are pictured at Waterstone's bookshop in Peascod Street, celebrating the completion of the mammoth task.

They reduced the plays to a shortlist of nine, before two guest judges - author Fay Weldon CBE and theatre director Pete Gallagher - chose the three finalists.

The Windsor Fringe runs from September 20 to October 6. Box Office is on 01753 7866865.
